Improvised musical brilliance

What a thrill to be at QPAC to see master musicians Paul Grabowsky, James Morrison, William Barton and Kram (aka "The Others") perform 3 completely improvised ensemble works (45 minutes, 25 minutes, 10 minutes). There were so many improvising concepts used - the core "yes...and" technique, call & response, finding a chorus, and active listening. The crowd reaction says it all. Simply brilliant improvising.
