Drama Qld state conference

ImproCOG content was presented to Drama educators at the 2024 Drama Qld state conference at Stuartholme School. It was great to work with some of my previous students to demonstrate how impro games can provide explicit links to the cognitive verbs in the national curriculum. Fun activities in the Arts classroom can facilitate a deep understanding of the cognitive verbs used in all other subject areas. Arts educators often have to defend what they do and why it matters - with ImproCOG techniques this explanation is clear and purposeful. There is also the benefit of developing the soft skills of creativity, communication and collaboration as students improvise and have laughs with their peers.
