Active listening and socially extended cognition
What a great time I am having at Improvention 2025 in Canberra! I am getting ready to present my ImproCOG content for a workshop , but was tonight offered an opportunity to come an play piano for Kit Kat Prov , a Bob Fosse-esque improvised cabaret. Impro and simulation education
It was great to be in the room today with so many great health science educators. The ImproCOG content was very well received and sparked some great conversations and connections after the workshop. A huge thanks to Associate Professor Dr Melanie Barlow for the support of my workshop and for fearlessly jumping up to be my partner as we model "yes....and" improvising and also demonstrate the Narrative Generator model for active listening and clinical conversations.

Partner impro for health education showcase
The room is ready for the 15th ACU Simulation in Health Education Showcase in Melbourne. The chairs are in partner groupings so the academics can experience the same partner collaborative exercises that students are taught during ImproCOG workshops.
